Haley Haynes, Deputy Secretary of State for North Carolina

Haley Haynes currently serves as Deputy Secretary of State. Deputy Secretary Haynes, 42, oversees several major divisions of the Secretary of State’s office, including its Corporations, Trademarks, Notary Public and Uniform Commercial Code sections, as well as serving as one of two of the Department’s intergovernmental liaisons. Haynes served as the Department’s General Counsel since 2002 before being promoted to Deputy Secretary in June 2004.
Ms. Haynes worked as a private attorney in Asheville prior to joining the Department. She also served as an assistant public defender in both Asheville and Fayetteville.
Ms. Haynes is a North Carolina native, born in Raleigh and raised in Hendersonville. She was graduated cum laude from N.C. State University in 1989 with a B.A. in political science and received her Juris Doctor from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Law in 1992.
Women Business Owners Network of Cary (WBON-Cary) was founded in 1995 as a non-profit organization comprised of women in leadership positions. We welcome all women in the Triangle Area who are owners, part owners, and prospective business owners, or are employed by businesses that support women in business. The mission of WBON-Cary is to provide experiences that educate, enlighten, inspire, support, motivate and foster growth professionally as well as personally. Monthly meetings and guest speakers provide a forum for discussing issues and experiences relevant to professional women. Networking and local philanthropic projects help stimulate individual development and provide a positive presence in the community.

The cost for the luncheon is $20 for members and $30 for non-members who pre-register by Monday before the meeting. After that, you are always welcome to register at the door for $40.
