Monica Smiley, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Enterprising Women magazine, the national magazine for women business owners, says, “Yes, we can achieve peace through business.” She will be sharing her experiences in this amazing international outreach for women entrepreneurs on Wednesday, April 7th when she presents her program. “ Smiley’s presentation will highlight this phenomenal program, which is sponsored by the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW), and:

• Provides leadership and resources to women entrepreneurs to foster their long-term success.
• Hosts 30 women entrepreneurs from Afghanistan and Rwanda in the United States each summer.
• Pairs international women entrepreneurs with a woman entrepreneur from the US for a year-long mentorship.

 Women entrepreneurship is growing around the world. Join us on April 7th and find out how you can get engaged and join in the success.

Women Business Owners Network of Cary (WBON-Cary) was founded in 1995 as a non-profit organization comprised of women in leadership positions. We welcome all women in the Triangle Area who are owners, part owners, and prospective business owners, or are employed by businesses that support women in business. The mission of WBON-Cary is to provide experiences that educate, enlighten, inspire, support, motivate and foster growth professionally as well as personally. Monthly meetings and guest speakers provide a forum for discussing issues and experiences relevant to professional women. Networking and local philanthropic projects help stimulate individual development and provide a positive presence in the community.

The cost for the luncheon is $20 for members and $30 for non-members who pre-register by Monday before the meeting. After that, you are always welcome to register at the door for $40.
